When Healing Requires a Pause

I didn't plan for last week. A small exercise injury sent me to my chiropractor, and while the adjustment quickly set me back into alignment, it also stirred up something deeper. Within hours, my body felt like it was “flushing out” stored-up toxins, and I spent the next few days with cold-like symptoms that reminded me just how much our systems carry.
Even as someone who helps others heal, I need a trusted practitioner for my own alignment and care, and I’m thankful to have that. It made me reflect on how healing isn’t always linear, and sometimes the body needs us to pause.
Here are the three things that made the biggest difference in my recovery:
1. Rest. Not just going to bed earlier, but giving myself permission to completely stop. Healing accelerates when the nervous system shifts out of “go-mode” into restoration.
2. Hydration. As my body cleared what it no longer needed, water became my best ally. Proper hydration helps flush out toxins and keeps every cell supported in its repair work.
3. Cellular Support. Using the X39 phototherapy patch gave my body an extra boost in repair, and the improvement was noticeable. That’s why it remains a cornerstone in both my own care and in the protocols I recommend to clients. I rotated it between the point of pain on the injury and the recommended general wellness point on my spine.
It’s easy to think healing is about powering through or finding a quick fix, but often the more sustainable solution is found in creating the right conditions: alignment, hydration, rest, and gentle nudges that activate the body’s God-designed ability to repair itself.
As we move through midlife, recovery often isn’t as smooth as it once was. But your body is still fully designed to heal. The sooner you activate that repair, the stronger and more resilient you’ll feel. Begin today with the X39 patch from my LifeWave shop.
