Answers to the most common questions about naturopathic care, holistic health tools, and what it’s like to work with a Traditional Naturopath.
How should I prepare for my initial visit?
This is a time to get to know one another, and to see if we can work together. What are your expectations and how willing are you to follow through on recommendations? There is no fee for this visit unless you choose to work with me and get testing done. This usually consists of urine or saliva samples or photos of your eyes to assess the extent of your issue.
Do you help treat chronic illness?
As a naturopath, I do not diagnose, treat, prescribe, nor cure disease. I can advise you on why your body is not performing optimally and what therapies can work within your abilities and budget to nurture your healing. I believe that strengthening the body's natural functions allows it to eradicate illness effectively and permanently.
What should I expect from my first session?
I need to know your history and any tests you've had done. If I ran any tests after our first consultation, I'll let you know the results and we can discuss options for your individual plan. I take into account your family's needs before asking for any dietary changes, if any are needed. I will let you know what to expect as you progress through your plan. One of the most overlooked aspects of health challenges is the emotional aspect. Negative emotional situations get lodged in our tissues which causes a chaotic energy in that organ or tissue. I am trained to seek out and resolve these issues in such a way that disruption to your everyday life is minimized. We will re-assess as often as indicated for your particular needs.
What Makes My Practice Different?
In a field where anyone can call themselves a “coach” or “natural health expert,” I’ve chosen a path of deep study, intentional mentorship, and ongoing training.
I’m a Traditional Naturopath, earning my Doctor of Naturopathy degree from the Trinity School of Natural Health, which is accredited by the AANWP. I’ve continued to sharpen my skills through personal mentorships, including advanced training to earn my Traditional Naturopath from the Institute of Holistic Integrative Studies.
For me, this isn’t a job; it’s my life’s work and passion.
I don’t rely on one-size-fits-all protocols. I listen to your story, test for what your body needs, and prayerfully discern what your body can use at this point in your healing journey. I use a full toolbox: homeopathy, nutrition, mineral balancing, botanicals, and phototherapy, always tailored to you.
Credentials matter. Discernment matters. And the difference shows in the results.
