Is It Okay for a Christian to See a Naturopath?

I saw something recently that said if you even consider seeing a naturopath, you should repent immediately.

Well, that got my attention.

Because naturopathy is my passion. Right after Jesus Christ. It's how I serve Him.

But there is a lot of woo-woo out there, I know. When I went through my training to become a naturopath, I had to wade through astrology, intuition, and other things that didn’t line up with Scripture. I needed a lot of discernment.

That path took me deep into the Bible and taught me more about God. And how gifts of healing are appointed by God (1 Corinthians 12:28). This is my grandfather's Bible, with his handwritten note.

I saw more clearly how disease is a consequence of a fallen world. It is not punishment. I learned to ask important questions of myself, both as a fellow sufferer and as a practitioner: Will I seek God in this illness? Will I trust Him with my fears?

I saw how He spoke all of creation into being. And that speech has a frequency that still echoes today. It is in plants and herbs and light. If your food is fresh enough, it's on your plate. Frequency is a way of thinking about energy. Energy is what is passed from your food or sunlight to your body to sustain life.

Everything God gave us for healing: nutrition, rest, herbs, even light, has design and purpose. The same God who formed your cells also made the foods that nourish them. And He made you distinct: your body’s needs and signals aren’t quite like anyone else’s. You know this already, because the diet that worked for your friend didn't work for you. (I still remember the time my husband gave me the over-the-counter remedy he'd used to quickly shake off a nasty cold: it knocked me out cold for 24 hours straight and took 3 more days to recover from the drug stupor.)

In my practice, I don’t diagnose or prescribe, because that is the sole realm of medical doctors. Texas doesn't license naturopaths, so I take my responsibility for health seriously. I don't use anything synthetic since that has the potential to harm your body. You are a whole person, not a disease name, created with purpose and complexity. I don’t force your body to quiet its symptoms. I listen to your body and use muscle response testing to find the support it needs to heal.

Every whole food supplement carries a frequency, just like your body does. I match the frequency of a supplement against your body’s frequency to see if they harmonize. If they do, your body recognizes it as helpful. If they clash, that supplement could actually confuse or push your system in the wrong direction, even if it's “natural.” That’s why I don’t recommend just smelling something or “trying it out” to see if it helps. Guesswork can slow healing.

So how does this work virtually?

I use the frequency of your voice—your tone, your expression, your unique imprint—to test what your body needs. It’s subtle work, to be sure, but I’ve seen it make a real difference. I even used it to help my daughter while she was overseas, and I was surprised and grateful to find it still worked. You don’t have to drive to see me in person. The frequency work I do reaches farther than we expect, because your body is always speaking, and I’ve learned how to listen.

You are made in the very image of God, and your voice is powerful. It carries the imprint of life.

I use whole food supplements, gentle homeopathy, light therapy, and other natural tools to guide the body’s innate intelligence. I believe that healing only happens when we cooperate with the way God designed us to heal.

And I pray over each appointment and client. Because this is more than health. It’s a ministry. It’s meeting women in the middle of fear, fatigue, and frustration, and helping them move toward hope and healing.

Your fears aren’t foolish. They could be a part of the frequency that unsettled your body in the first place. But fear doesn’t get the final word. There’s a gentler way forward, and I will walk beside you in truth, prayer, and your body’s God-given design.

If you’re a Christian woman navigating life after kids and you feel like your body’s changing faster than you can keep up, I want you to know:

  • You don’t have to choose between your faith and your health.

  • You’re not alone.

  • Your body is just asking for someone to hear its cries.

I'm here to listen to your story, support your body, and walk with you as you heal.

Message me if you'd like to learn more or book a discovery call.🙏 And yes, I will be praying for you either way.
